The Authority has demarcated the operational area into four zones in the distribution system namely Central, Northern, Southern and Eastern zones. The distribution pipe network has a length of 642.2 Km which connect all the four zones including separate water networks for small towns of Didia, Tinde and Iselamagazi. The system of water from lake Victoria has total length of 309km of distribution line with minimum diameter 110mm uPVC and steel pipes, water is conveyed to the four elevated towers in Shinyanga Municipality through a 27km of diameter varying from 400mm to 900mm trunk (transmission) mains. The Towers are positioned strategically throughout the distribution system to provide adequate pressure.
